Year 5/6 Cricket Competition

On Tuesday 3rd June 2014, a team of Year 5/6 pupils were entered into a local cricket competition.  A number of primary schools entered the event, which was organised and run by teachers from local primary schools, assisted by sports leaders and teachers from Plumstead Manor Secondary School.

After an explanation of the rules and regulations, everyone competed in a very fun and exciting tournament, with medals given to the tournament winners and players of the tournament.

Nightingale Primary School won several of their matches, beating 3 teams and only narrowly losing 2 matches.  This meant that the school team received certificates for finishing in 3rd place, a great success and something build upon for next year!

The event was enjoyed by all players and this result meant that Nightingale finished a respectable 5th in the overall results table for 2013/14.

A huge well done to all those whom competed across the year!
